Well, we turned around the other day and realized that we are now past the one year mark. Time flies. Everyone at the shop wants to thank all of you out there who have taken us this far. It’s been a wild ride and we have some great things in the cards - expect some big changes! Don’t be scared though, because it will only mean a better experience fill with more product (think more shoes, more sunglasses, more tees, more watches, more jewelry, more dresses, more shirts…), a better website and increased customer service. How are we going to do this?

In the mean time, we have teamed up with Red Stripe, The Party and Kiddrae254 to put on an appreciation event. Check out the flier, but on Saturday the 12th of July we will be bringing you a mix of music, beer and sale prices. Stay for a minute, stay for the day, we don’t care; we will be hanging out at the shop relaxing and handing out great deals on all type of merchandise.
Alright, we apologize for the delay (apparently Creative has switched their inventory system and shipments have been slow to get out), but we just got in the last of the Summer ‘08 shipment. Yeah, it seems like Summer is really just here, but in the shoe biz Fall kicks off soon…like now. Anyway, here are two more solid styles from the talents at Creative Rec:
Creative Recreation - Dicoco Lo, Black Blue Pink ($95)

You can’t really tell, but the white toe box and tongue on the Cesario Hi’s is patent leather. Also, the Toe-box on the Dicoco Los is sueded leather, so both have some great details. Like all Creative Rec shipments, PLEASE CALL so we can hold your size. We don’t want you to be disappointed when we are sold out of your size and can’t special order anything.
Deliveries have heated up a little bit here at the store. Shipments from Staple, WESC and Nike have all landed with more coming from Nike and Creative Recreation. First up are three new shoes to show you from Nike. This shipment marks the first of Fall deliveries from the sportswear giant, and with that comes a new box. Enough of that, on to the shoes. Our eyes from this shipment are on the style that has taken 2008 by storm: The Structure Triax. ‘08 marked the first year for this shoe to be retroed and the response has been great.

Next is a great Blazer Mid - this style has been making a lot of headway this year for those a little weary of the Dunks. Just a really solid, simple colorway (notice the blue logo contrast on the tongue):

Finally, here is a shoe that it scheduled to arrive later this evening. It’s a classic Dunk low; perfect for wearing with shorts on a lazy Sunday:

As promised to all those that emailed, we are writing this post to start a waiting list for the Supra Fall 2008 arrivals. We are splitting the posts up between the NS and general distribution, with this post for the NS product. First, here are a few things:
- Adding your name to the wait list DOES NOT guarantee you the shoe.
- This is not a pre-order. We would love to take your money, but want to make sure we have secured the shipment before we sell the shoes.
- Shoes will be sold on a first come first serve basis. Everyone will be notified via email or phone at the same time upon the shoe’s arrival.
- We are happy to ship. The most secure and our preferred method of payment is Paypal, and packages will be send out via USPS Priority mail.
- We will not be releasing exact prices until the shipment arrives. What we can say is that prices for the fall will be similar to or below or prices last Fall.
- We should have size 8 to 13 on order for most styles.
So, what do we need from you? Send an email to info@gotocentre.com (see our CONTACT page for more information) with ‘Supra Pre-Order’ in the subject. In the body of the email, please include your name, contact info (email or phone), style and size you would like. Also, we are happy to answer any questions you may have. You saw how fast the last shipments went, so please do yourself a favor and get on this list so we can notify you as soon as they arrive.

We just got a present from our UPS man. Today it was a box from Nike filled with some Dunk Hi Premiums. This final installment from the horse hair pack comes in with a neutral gray upper and gum sole. Check out the details and don’t miss the insole with the Zoom air insert:

As promised after our last shipment, we have some more colors of Toms in stock. Two for men with the navy and black canvas and two for women including the Gandhi ‘Be the Change’ and coral polka dots. All styles feature their new outersole, more comfortable padded insole and retail for $48.

Here are the first of a few new styles from Puma for the summer. First up is two releases from the ‘Tetris’ pack with the Disc Blaze and the First Round. We hinted about these back HERE, and now you can come see the alien shoe for yourself. Insanely comfortable, and you will never walk past a person in this town without them looking at your feet. If you think you can handle that, then get down to the shop because there are about 5 pair left as of today:

The Hoopers are still flying out the door some make the trip soon if you need a pair. Meanwhile, we have two new styles to add to the collection. First is a boxing/wrestling inspired silhouette appropriately called the Ring Hi. Not for the faint of heart, but it seems like those who like them, love them. Next is another RS100 from the Emergency Pack. Most of the uppers on the shoe are comprised of 3M reflective material for extra safety.

Finally got some more product in from Vans. Pretty self explanatory on this one. The shoe of interested is definitely the Mountain Edition, which was retro-ed for the first time for Spring 2008. Anyway, definitely something a little different to throw people off.

We can now finally say that we have some Toms back in stock. Only part of our shipment has arrived, but so far there are three styles for women and one for the guys. Pretty simple, though the fit and construction has gotten a lot better. Anyway, here are the pics:

You might have seen these in a recent edition of Quick, but all we can say is ‘wow’ because these Hoopers have been the fastest selling sneaker to date (yes, even quicker than the Skytops). It’s easy to see why because the Puma Hooper Mid Decades is unlike any other Puma style out there. In addition to the Decades Mid, we have a little bit cleaner Hooper Hi in white and ‘amazon’ green with some orange and turquoise accents:
