You are probably familiar with The Grey Album by a then relatively unknown DJ Danger Mouse, who has since gone on to become one half of Gnarls Barkley. Taking a hint from this album, Mick Boogie and Terry Urban have come out with Viva La Hova bringing together Jay Z and Coldplay. From the creators of Bootleg Sessions, Ride/Relax Productions are in the midst of producing another fixed gear-orientated documentary titled Empire. Featuring help from Mishka NYC and Brooklyn Machine Works, the movie will outline bike culture and riding in New York City. A timeline for the documentary’s release has not been set, but stay tuned for more details.
Some nice cinematography here - really like the title fade in at the begining. The traffic/fixie/fast music thing can quickly get old, but the film really gives you that feel of flying though downtown Manhattan. On that note…stay tuned for a special creation here at the shop:
