December 26th, 2007 Websites :: Uncrate.com :: Retailmenot.com

Though we would certainly never want to divert your attention from our beautiful blog, while roaming around the internet looking for great Holiday gift ideas, we came across some pretty cool sites that document some great product. All of them run in a blog-style format though they likely have a degree of editorial bias.

The first two pages are what you might call ’sister’ pages with Uncrate.com dedicated to men’s product while Outblush.com focuses on the women. Uncrate covers a product a day with links on where to purchase. You’ll find anything from The ISIS, which has been called the most difficult puzzle ever, to the Oblong Gear Clock seen below:

Outblush has things like this Rebecca Taylor Cardign:

Next on the list is Retailmenot.com, which features user-submitted lists of promotion codes to use for online shopping. Seems to be the most complete list of major websites out there and saved me 25% on a jacket I just ordered.

Finally, there is Woot.com, where you can check in every day for a new product. Sometimes it’s utter crap, and other times it marginally useful crap that you kinda want and just might buy because it’s so cheap. Whatever the case, Woot has a huge online community that discusses the merits of each days product. It’s actually been so successful that they have started offshoots dedicated to wine, amazingly called WineWoot, and another, possibly more interesting to this audience, ShirtWoot. And, yes, they do sell shirts on ShirtWoot: user-submitted tee-shirt designs to be exact.

Well, that’s all for now folks. We hope the holidays are continuing well and be sure to check back soon for details of our end of year clearance sale.
