Read what HighSnobiety had to say:

“A mixture of an atomic bunker and the garage of your personal spaceship where raw concrete and unrefined wood suggest a post-industrial atmosphere inspired at Pharmacy’s latest collection “Sci Fi Fever”. The electric system runs along the walls through all-steel tubes spaced out by industrial switches. The writings on the wall of the mezzanine quote real comments people (fans and not-fans) left on PHCY’s website! The shop’s window is dominated by an impressive missile. The shiny white surface and the PHCY rosette play down it’s dramatic symbolism and emphasize it’s pure aesthetic value.

The store, while featuring lots of cold attributes such as concrete and other industrial features still reflects an overall warm atmosphere. Congratulations to the brand for this impressive move and translation of their company philosophy into a store.”

October 20th, 2007 Nigo :: A Bathing Ape :: Portfolio.com

Found a really interesting article done on Conde Naste’s Portfolio.com site profiling 36 year-old Tomoaki Nagao, more commonly known as Nigo, the man behind the label Bathing Ape. There are plenty of mixed emotions about the brand, there is no doubt he is an alluring character. The guy could probably be considered the foremost collector of pop culture in the world. In the article, which is a really detailed one spanning some 6 online pages, you’ll find details about the innerworkings of the brand as they sit at the crossroads of being a cult hit and, potentially, a major, publicly-traded fashion brand. Well worth the read…

October 20th, 2007 Martin Margiela :: Sunglasses :: L’incognito

Check out these new Martin Margiela sunglasses dubbed “L’incognito”. The sunglasses are being produced by Italian company Marcolin, who is responsible for a lot of luxury eyewear from the likes of Tom Ford and Roberto Cavalli. While these shades are probably only appropriate for the European techno floors (and who knows how they stay on) they are a fun to look at.
